High Fructose Corn Syrup: The Hidden Sugar

A study offered a better insight on the consumption of High Fructose Syrup, the main ingredient in our favorite chocolate sauce. The ingredient could cause serious adverse health effects.

42 percent of the added sugar found in the US diet comes from corn syrup.

Added sugars hide in 74 percent of processed foods under more than 60 different names!

Processed fructose are primary factors causing obesity and chronic disease, including heart and cardiovascular disease.

Why not keep the family away from this popular ingredient and try this easy delightful chocolate syrup recipe instead!

In a pan over low heat add:

1 cup coconut oil

4 TBS of Cocoa (or more make it as chocolaty as you’d like!

3 TBS of Coconut Sugar

Stir until sugar is melted and all ingredients are mixed well.

Throw it over your favorite pancake recipe replacing Pancake Syrup or mix it with Almond Milk to make delicious chocolate milk!
